For our third project we were asked to create a 30-60 video clip using 3 distinct video and audio track in the background. I decided to take advantage of the weather and get some action shots of my son, Kane, playing sports in the yard. I shot the 6 different clips using an IPhone 7 and IMovie on it to create the video. After the video clips and images were in IMovie, I trimmed them to meet the required time limit. Once I was in the required time restraints, I added my title and credits screens. It was now time for transitions. To meet the requirements I made the transition between the first 2 video sequences a cut and the second two video sequences a fade. IMovie makes the transitions easy. Once the video or image is imputed there is a box in-between the two that allows you to choose the type of transition wanted. Since I had quite a bit of different material I had a lot of transitions to be inputted. I tried to keep a common theme throughout the rest of it. Before a new sub title screen, I used the theme transition. Between each of the still images and first video I used a dissolve transition. My last two video sequence have a fade like the second two. For the credits I used two screens and had a wipe down transition. The last thing that needed to be added was the audio. Since I had just got my phone the week before, I chose to use a preloaded audio track on IMovie called News. I also thought it played very well with my theme. Once the video was completed I needed to get it on my computer, convert it and compress it. When I got it on the computer it was over 21mb which did not meet the requirements. I then used a site called clipchamp.com to compress the video and convert it from a .mov file to a .mp4 file.
